Job Description

Sr Financial Analyst

  • Perform Accounting & Reporting (ATR) activities for the CEMEA region.
  • Support and be an active member of the ATR function helping to drive the strategy and vision
  • Ensure transactions are captured, recorded, summarized, and reported in compliance with policies & procedures under US GAAP.
  • Perform the monthly consolidation for CEMEA, ensuring accuracy and completeness of the consolidated ledgers.
  • Prepare monthly commentary for P&L and Balance sheet movements and present to ATR leadership.
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations for numerous balance sheet accounts in a timely manner with minimal reconciling or timing differences.
  • Ensure timely submission of internal US GAAP related reports to headquarters
  • Review and advise on complex accounting matters and technical accounting analyses. Prepare memos and white papers to support accounting positions.
  • Work closely with ATR Leads as well as other members in the Controllership space to assess requirements for change in processes and procedures. Initiate and propose procedural changes to enhance data quality and process flows.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to support accurate and timely accounting and reporting.
  • Drive efficiency through automation of business processes while leveraging Visa’s fully integrated accounting system
  • Participate in projects aligned with the company’s strategy
  • Assess financial impact of changes to accounting policies processes and other procedures applicable for the business

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
•5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications
•6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
•Degree in Accounting or professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA CPA or equivalent)
•7 - 10 years of relevant accounting and reporting related experience (ideally in a multi-national company)
•Hands on experience with US GAAP
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and ability to work well in a fast paced and high-volume environment
•Exposure to consolidations and technical accounting analysis
