Social Media Manager
Paperlike
Full-time, Not Applicable
Remote: Yes
Company Description
Jan founded Paperlike in 2017 as a side project to solve his own need for a better iPad and Apple Pencil experience. Since he loves crowdfunding, he launched a Kickstarter for the Paperlike and was blown away by the response. He soon left his job and made Paperlike a full-time endeavor.
Now in 2026, we're a team of about 25 people. At our core, we still operate the same way: relentlessly focused on what matters, automating whatever we can to free our time and minds.
Our team is 100% remote, spread all over the world: from New York to Turkey, from Germany to China.

Job Description
In 2017, Jan Sapper, Paperlike's founder and CEO, developed and launched a screen protector for the iPad that became an instant hit with digital artists and notetakers.
Since then, we've come a long way.
Today, we sell professional accessories for iPad users worldwide through our Shopify store, Amazon, and retail stores. We've built a global team (25 amazing people from all over the world) and a brand that is well-respected in our community.
And that's where you come in. We've built a solid foundation with 250k+ followers across all social media platforms. Now we're looking for a strategic, data-driven Social Media Manager to own and evolve how Paperlike shows up on social, and help us grow a brand that people genuinely love.
About this Role
We're looking for a full-time Social Media Manager to own Paperlike's presence across all brand channels. This isn't a content creation role. It's a strategy role. You'll be responsible for how the brand communicates on social: what we say, when we say it, to whom, and why it's working (or not).
You'll own the publishing calendar, manage community engagement, drive creator seeding outreach, and report on the metrics that actually matter. You'll bring a strong point of view on strategy and the organizational rigor to execute it.
What will you do as Paperlike's Social Media Manager?
Strategy
- Own and drive Paperlike's social media strategy across all brand channels
- Use performance data to inform content decisions, optimize for growth, and identify opportunities
- Stay on top of platform trends and algorithm shifts and know when to act on them
- Bring strategic recommendations to leadership with clear rationale and measurable goals
Content & Publishing
- Own the social publishing calendar end-to-end: planning, scheduling, and quality control
- Write copy across all social channels with a consistent, on-brand voice
- Maintain a strong aesthetic eye for what goes out: every post should look and feel like Paperlike
- Project manage the content production pipeline with two video producers and the creative team to brief, review, and deploy content
Community & Creator Relations
- Manage community engagement across all platforms, including DMs and comments
- Lead creator seeding outreach: identify, contact, and start relationships with relevant creators
Reporting
- Track and report on social reach, engagement, and community growth on a regular cadence
- Translate data into insights: not just numbers, but what they mean and what to do next

Job Qualifications
This role is for you if:
- You have a track record of owning strategy (not just executing it).
- You lead with data. You know how to read performance metrics and use them to make decisions.
- You're a strong copywriter. You can write a caption that stops a scroll and sounds like a real person.
- You have a genuine eye for aesthetics and understand what "on-brand" actually means in practice.
- You are exceptionally organized. You can juggle a multi-channel publishing calendar, creator outreach, community management, and reporting without dropping balls.
- You have experience with Notion and Sprout Social (not required, but a strong plus.)
- You're comfortable working independently in a remote, async-first environment.
- You're fluent in English, with excellent written communication skills.
